What is EGLX?
EGLX (Enthusiast Gaming Live Expo) is a video game expo, returning for its 5th year in Toronto! EGLX unites gamers to experience everything gaming. Whether it’s competing casually or professionally, learning about new games or seeing your favourite gaming celebrity, we’ve got it all!
When and where is EGLX 2019?
EGLX will take place October 18-20 at the Metro Toronto Convention Center in Toronto, Canada. The Convention Center is located at 255 Front St W, Toronto, ON M5V 2W6.
What can I do at EGLX?
Do I need to be a gamer to go to EGLX?
Absolutely not! EGLX is open to all. While there will definitely be content geared towards avid gamers, we have a lot planned for the rest of the community as well. Parents, kids, fans, not-yet fans, and anyone who loves games will find plenty to do at EGLX.
How can I stay updated on all things EGLX?
We’ll announce more over the months leading up to the big show, so keep up with the latest through our mailing list or following our official social media accounts.

Can I volunteer to work at EGLX?

Are there age restrictions to EGLX?
EGLX is open to all ages, however, minors under the age of 13 should be accompanied by an adult at all times. Certain tournaments will be restricted to mature audiences (18+) and will require an ID to check-in.
When and where can I pick up my wristband?
Once you’ve purchased an online ticket, a digital ticket with a QR code will be emailed to you. You can print the ticket at home, or save it to your mobile device. Bring your ticket to the main registration area at EGLX, scan and exchange it for your pass.
Will there be Wi-Fi at EGLX?
Yes, attendees of EGLX will have access to complimentary Wi-Fi, graciously brought to you by Bell Canada!
Can I get a refund on my ticket?
We cannot offer refunds. For more information, see the Terms of Service on your ticket purchase receipt.
What’s the plan for accessibility measures?
The MTCC offers barrier-free access and meets all requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (“AODA”). Wheelchairs are available as a courtesy service on a first come first serve basis at the Guest Services desk located in the North Building on Level 200 and in the South Building on Level 500.

What items are prohibited?
Drugs and alcohol are not allowed at EGLX under any circumstances. Those caught with any prohibited substances will be asked to leave the premises and have their EGLX pass revoked.
Will I be filmed while at the event?
Some activities at the event will be film/audio recorded and photographed for promotional and publicity purposes. Printed notices of this policy will be placed clearly around each area of the event that it applies to, so you can stay aware of when/where this is in place and other details that it entails.
What policies should I keep in mind if I’m cosplaying?
Metal props, live firearms, pyrotechnics, nudity, and offensive slogans or costumes are prohibited. Airsoft or replica guns must have the orange tip or be visibly from fantasy origin.
If your cosplay character carries a weapon, make sure it doesn’t violate convention rules. Please refer to EGLX 2019 Terms & Conditions Cosplay section for full cosplay rules.
What parking options do I have for EGLX?
Download the app, select the “Book In Advance” option, search the Metro Centre location, add a parking time between Friday October 18th – 20th, and you’ll find the OEGLX2019 $12/day rate when you click the “Select Product” option!
Additionally, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre will have underground parking options.
What food options will there be?
The Metro Toronto Convention Centre provides food options on-site. However, EGLX provides in-and-out privileges, so as long as you have a wristband you can see what other food options downtown Toronto has to offer!
Any travel conflicts I should be aware of?
On Sunday, Oct. 20, the following road closures will be in place for the Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon:
- Lakeshore Blvd. W (from Sunnyside Park to Bay St.) will be closed From 5:00am – 1:00pm
- Bathurst St. from Lakeshore Blvd. to Harbord St. will be closed from 8:00am – 10:15am
- Front St. E (from Church St. to Erin St./Eastern Ave.) will be closed from 8:00am – 3:30pm.
- Other smaller closures around Nathan Phillips Square and the main marathon route will be in effect at various times throughout the day.
